Hannah has spent her adult life hiding away and devoting herself to her work… But she cannot ignore the warmth of attraction she feels for Nic, who is determined to make Hannah live and enjoy her life. It will take all the powers of Nic’s Italian heart to break through Hannah’s defences. But only then will Hannah be able to appreciate what the fiery, passionate doctor has to offer her…

Review:
The Italian Doctor’s Bride transports the reader to the remote Scottish village of Lochanrig, where the fragile Dr. Hannah Frost proves to be an expert when dealing with her patients – although a traumatic incident in her past has left her personal life barren and impersonal. Into Hannah’s life comes Dr. Nic di Angelis, a gorgeous Italian doctor with his own heartbreaking history. Margaret McDonagh’s book charts the trials and tribulations of the two doctors as they gradually build a relationship over a period of six months.

The strength of the story lies in the characterisation. Readers gradually warm to the icy heroine, Hannah, as her story progresses, and it's a delight to watch the Italian hero as he slowly thaws her cool exterior. In Nic di Angelis, Margaret McDonagh has created a stunning, well-rounded romance hero whose presence on the page guarantees a good read. Plus, he’ll doubtlessly melt the hearts of any female reader.

The book is very fast-paced and packs plenty of incident into the storyline. Margaret McDonagh exploits the dangers offered by the rural location well and provides the reader with all manner of accidents. These are balanced with the sometimes upsetting illnesses of the various villagers. However the medical setting of the story is rightfully kept in the background and never impedes on the blossoming romance between the two central characters.

The dialogue is sparky and the romantic scenes aren't repetitive. Margaret McDonagh provides a well-crafted and highly enjoyable read in this, her debut for Harlequin Mills and Boon.

The S-Factor: Sizzling!

Back-Blurb:
Bought...
Abbie Cavanaugh's young brother is in jail. Abbie can obtain his freedom - but only if she marries the Sheikh of Barakhara.
And bedded...
The explosive passion between Prince Malik and Abbie could turn a marriage of convenience into one of Eastern promise.
By The Sheikh!
But neither Abbie nor Malik knows the other's real identity. Can their relationship survive once the truth is revealed?

Review:

At first glance they are lost………Malik the sheikh and beautiful proud Abbie who wants her brother out of jail. They see each other from afar and immediately there is lust, desire and tension.

Malik is regal, sexy, stern, determined…. all of the characteristics one would expect of royal blood and a sheikh. He has come to England to meet with Abbie’s father concerning the release of her brother from a Barakhara jail. Neither knows the truth about each other until one evening the truth is revealed and Abbie's hopes are shattered. Malik has come to England to offer pardon if Abbie marries his brother, the Sheikh of Barakhara (his half brother).

Abbie is so sexually and passionately drawn to Malik that she isn’t herself. The events are turbulent; an interesting mix to the storyline. Abbie’s desire for Malik, her pending marriage to his half brother and then a country in turmoil plus seeing Malik again after weeks of trying to forget him. This love story is as hot as the burning desert sun!

Kate Walker has yet again penned a powerful and promising love story full of passion, tension and drama set in the desert sun. Their love story will grip your heart and provide hours of reading enjoyment.

A Virgin For The Taking - Trish Morey

Title: A Virgin For The Taking

Author: Trish Morey

Line: Modern - UK/Sexy - Australia/Presents - USA & Canada

Release month: UK - September 06 / Australia - October 06/ USA & Canada - November 06

The S-Factor: Sizzling!

Back-Blurb:
Shackled by pearls…
When Ruby Clemenger discovers she’s been left almost half of the Bastiani Pearl Corporation, she knows that her life is about to get complicated – especially with the added arrival of Zane Bastiani, the pearl master’s son - Zane wants rid of Ruby as quickly as possible – he thinks she’s nothing more than his father’s mistress and he’s sure she can be easily bought – good-time girls usually can.
But Ruby’s price is high…even for a billionaire like Zane. Unable to pay her off with cash, Zane decides to seduce Ruby into submission. Clearly a woman ripe for the taking, Zane reckons he has nothing to lose – until he discovers Ruby is
innocent… in every way…

Review:

Zane and Ruby’s journey to finding happiness was full of road blocks. Mistrust, secrets and a passion so powerful at times it was painful to read.
Zane is returning home to make peace with his father, only to find out that he has passed away and won’t get the chance to speak with his father and heal old wounds. Instead, he finds the lovely and beautiful Ruby who he believes was his father’s mistress. If that’s not enough when his father’s will is read, he discovers they will both have to run the Bastiani Pearl Corporation.
The story is set on the beautiful Gold Coast. It is evident that this author has done her research on the countryside and the pearl industry. The reader is taken on the journey of discovering and learning about pearls, design and the business itself.
Zane is a savvy businessman and Ruby a designer. Together they make an incredible team but would they agree? No, because there is mistrust, and way too many secrets between them along with such a powerful attraction they cannot deny. The reader is taken on a journey of discovery, passion and pain, one to be remembered for a long time.
I so enjoyed reading this wonderfully crafted story. I loved the way Trish Morey shows her readers that the power of love can heal all wounds and bring so much joy!
