Leading surgeon Callum Halroyd dreamt of saving the world with his surgical skills alongside his brother James. But when James had opted to settle in a rural Outback town instead of the on the frontline, Callum had vowed to never speak to his brother ever again, concentrating his energy on doing the best job he can in the war zones which he has made his home. But when Callum hears the tragic news that his brother and his wife were killed in a tragic accident, Callum finds himself returning to Australia, regret dogging his every move.

The last thing Callum is expecting is to find a pregnant woman in his brother’s apartment. Tess Dalton was James’ wife best friend who had selflessly decided to act as a surrogate mother for the couple who couldn’t have children. Tess is determined not to be pushed around by the autocratic Callum – nor is she going to let herself fall for the sexy surgeon.
