Review: ♥♥♥♥♥

If you’re a fan of Anne McAllister’s like I am, you’ve read her Greek series, especially and clans of Savas and Antonides, Greek families who is in the end become family due to marriages and share a beautiful family home in Greece. The Virgin’s Proposition was a beautifully written romance which featured a princess, Anny Chamion and a hunky American actor Demetrios Savas, a beautiful Greek alpha.

They met quite by chance at the Ritz Carlton in Cannes at which time was the celebrated Cannes Film Festival. Anny was at the hotel to meet the husband her father wanted her o marry, a man she didn’t love but respected and knew it was her duty to her country to marry him. However, quite by chance, Demetrios Savas was also at the very same hotel and trying to getaway from the press that was hounding him so when he spotted the lovely and demure Anny he came up with a plan to act like he knew her and have her help him escape the press.

Anny knew immediately who Demetrios was, a famous actor who had married a beautiful starlet who had died leaving a grieving husband behind. For that reason she assumed, he had disappeared from the news but now he was in Cannes promoting his latest release. She felt for him and his loss and he was so unlike Gerard the man she was promised to but she was intrigued, went with him, shared a meal with him and took him to the hospital where she volunteered and for the first time in a long time she felt like a real person. Like Anny, Demetrios felt joy like she did and felt he owed her something; she only had to ask. Actually she did, she asked him to make love to her and it was unbelievable. To make matters worse, the next evening when they thought they would never see each other again, they met on her fiancĂ©’s yacht and Demetrios was furious.

Demetrios knew one thing for sure, he wanted to get on his brother’s sailboat as promised and sail to Santorini for peace and solitude and return the boat and get on with his life. What he didn’t count on was Anny showing up at the dock requesting to sail with him nor his strong desire and how she tempted him every step of the way. Was he a fool to allow her onboard? Could they both survive the journey and keep their hands off each other? The Virgin’s Proposition was a beautifully written love story giving two interesting characters a second chance at love with twists and turns which made their journey even more enjoyable to read.

Review: ♥♥♥♥♥

Anne McAllister's latest Harlequin Presents, Savas' Defiant Mistress is pure romantic brilliance! Moving, witty, fast-paced and simply fantastic, this is one book you will not be able to put down!

Sebastian Savas needs a bolt hole to retire to in order to escape from his family's incessant chatter when they all swoop in on him for their sister's Vangie's wedding. Sebastian is desperate for some silence and some time to relax and when one of his colleagues informs him that he's thinking of selling his houseboat, he buys the property sight unseen and sets off towards his refuge, unaware that his sanctuary is already occupied by a woman whom he absolutely cannot stand: Neely Robson.

Neely is less than pleased when she finds out that her dream home has been bought by the one man whom she just cannot stand the sight of. Neely had worked with Sebastian before and the arrogant Greek had dismissed her designs as being too girly and pink! Sebastian might be the new owner of the houseboat, but Neely is not about to let him bully her out of her home. But will the fiery designer be able to cope with living with the man she purports to despise?

Thrown together by fate, Neely and Sebastian soon find themselves getting used to one another. As their mutual dislike gives way to a sizzling attraction which they cannot deny, Neely and Sebastian find themselves giving in to temptation.

But both Neely and Sebastian had sworn off relationships. However, when they realize that sexual attraction has developed into love, will they be strong enough to let go of their insecurities and just leap headlong into everlasting romance?

Refreshingly original, wonderfully moving and fabulously absorbing, Savas' Defiant Mistress is another Anne McAllister classic! Fall in love with feisty and independent Neely and gorgeous but guarded Seb in this amusing, enthralling and thoroughly captivating romance by this RITA award-winning author!

Review:

Martha Antonides is absolutely furious when she finds her boyfriend in the shower with another woman! Shocked, hurt and livid, she empties her savings account and books a one way ticket to Greece to the island of Santorini where her parents have had a holiday home for generations.

However, the last thing Martha is expecting is to find a stranger living in her house – a gorgeous stranger whom a magazine declared as the world’s sexiest sailor! Theo Savas is not only drop dead gorgeous, but he’s also a billionaire and what’s more thanks to her feckless father, he now owns their home on Santorini!

The Santorini Bride - Anne McAllister

Title: The Santorini Bride

Author: Anne McAllister

Line: Presents / Modern

Release month: Feb 07

The S-Factor: Sweet & Sizzling!

Back-Blurb:

Nowhere could be more perfect than the breathtaking island of Santorini to fall in love – but its whispering winds, azure seas and innate tranquility belie the blazing passion the island evokes in all who arrive on its idyllic shores…

Heiress Martha Antonides is stunned when she arrives at her ancestral family home on the Greek island of Santorini – to find that the villa has been taken over by billionaire Theo Savas… Forced together, they indulge in a scorchingly hot affair. Review:
Again, Anne McAllister has penned a wonderful story, the second in a Greek family series; however, The Santorini Bride is a stand alone book. It's a passionate and a very sweet story in finding love by two strong and spirited people, Theo Savas and Martha Antonides.

In April 2006 Anne's book The Antonides Marriage Deal debuted and the reader is introduced to the Antonides and Savas family. The head of the Antonides family has not only wagered his Santorini family home in Greece but also a major share of his ship building business in the USA.

In the Santorini Bride, you are introduced to Martha Antonides who is running away from her cheating boyfriend to Greece to heal her wounds. Then throw into the mix, sexy Theo Savas who is hiding out at his newly family’s acquired Greek retreat to hide from women and the press as he was named the world's sexist sailor. Theo doesn’t “do relationships” nor does he commit; instead he goes from one relationship to another. Why? Theo at one time was married and hurt badly so he plays the field and when Martha arrives on his doorstep in Greece, he wants to send her packing. Want sparks; well you'll get them and then some!

Martha being a strong willed woman will have none of it and firmly plants herself into Theo’s life. When Theo’s interfering mother sends two beautiful models to Santorini, Theo decides he needs Martha to play the part of his girlfriend and little does either of them realize how attracted they have become to each other. However, Theo gets cold feet and leaves Greece to think about his life and then again runs into Martha at the Savas/Antonides wedding of their respective siblings. Boy, does Theo get a surprise…..Martha is pregnant with his child. Martha makes it very clear that she doesn’t need Theo in her life nor require marriage. So she leaves and goes West to live alone with her dog “Ted” but not for long as Theo follows her with a plan to convince Martha to marry him. This is probably my favorite part of the book……..Theo being attentive, patient, kind and loving. Plain and simply, it’s a lovely love story.

I can’t begin to tell you how much I enjoyed The Santorini Bride. Anne McAllister never disappoints her readers and this book is an exceptional example. I look forward to many more stories involving both of these interesting and powerful Greeks.
