Dr. Kate Fisher has accepted a job as a locum in a rural Scottish town in order to recover from a traumatic experience as well as to prove to herself that she can still cut it as a doctor. She doesn’t want to make new friends, form new relationships or be part of the community, but Dr. Conor Anderson has got other ideas.

Conor is intrigued by Kate. She’s a wonderful doctor and a beautiful woman, however, Conor is puzzled by her cautious manner. Just what is she hiding? And why is there so much pain in her eyes?
