So how would author address this dilemma and since the wedding was immediate, how would they deal with the family issues and their mutual attraction? Throw in the beautiful secluded island located in Queensland, a posh resort with a horrible thing to about to happen, Daniel would as he had in the past, try to pay off Jake Fletcher NOT to marry his sister. He hated Jake, they had a past and he would not allow Monica’s marriage to happen.

Sophie Turner not only was the sister of a man he hated, she was his sister’s wedding planner and a woman he desired. His plan was to stop the wedding, could he pretend to be in compliance with the plans and in the end halt the process? You bet and then some…..did he have a plan? First of all, he wanted Sophie where he could control the wedding planning plus bed her. However, he had a grander plan. Buy off her brother who was his arch enemy. It had worked before with Monica’s other boyfriends so he was sure it would work with Jake. Why did he hate Jake, Sophie’s brother? They had not only a competitive past; Daniel blamed Jake for his fiancée Emma’s death.

It was all too much while trying to mend fences between Daniel and her brother. It was obvious Daniel hated Jake and absolutely didn’t want his sister to marry. However, what lengths would he go to stop the wedding? Buy out the venue, offer Jake money to stop the wedding, bed his sister? Yes to all three. Daniel, Jake and Daniel’s security man Jo all had a past, they grew up together, went to high school together. Jo hated Jake almost as much as Daniel, so he agreed to again offer Monica’s boyfriend or in this case fiancé money. Jo, well let’s just say, was a bit snake and soon to slither out from under his rock.

I adore a tormented alpha and that’s exactly whom Daniel was yet I could also feel his emotions crumbling towards Sophie, the woman he didn’t want to like, only use. However, while he had her on his island, had control of her and the wedding plans, he thought why not take it a step further and have a short affair. Did I agree with his tactics…..no. Did I want to see the tables turned…definitely yes! Obviously he adored his sister, had taken care of her after their parents had died and he was sure her fiancé, Jake was only using her. He was so wrong on all counts and so much more

The word angst described it all especially the ending chapters. I looked up the word and its definition was as follows: “anguish, torment, anxiety, trouble, sorrow, worry, fear”……..let’s just say It’s exactly what happens on all counts! Not just for the happy couple Jake and Monica but also for their respective siblings it all ends horribly. Could all of their relationships be salvaged and could there be a wedding?

Well Ms. Trish Morey, you’ve done it again with Reckless in Paradise, explosive, secrets, lies, passion but you also gave your hero a very valuable lesson, one that Sophie taught him. Sophie taught him “that the bonds of love were stronger than the chains of hate. She also taught him the love wasn’t about control.” Sophie taught Daniel if he truly loved her, he would have to let her go and hopefully she would return to him because she wanted him! Happy ending? Yes, not only for his sister Monica and Jake but also for the two of them, in paradise!

After reading the Prologue in Forbidden: The Sheikh’s Virgin by Trish Morey, I knew this book was going to be one big bombshell! In book one learned that King Xavian abdicated when he learned he was really the missing Prince Zafir of Calista (The Royal House of Karades series). This meant then Kareef Al’Ramiz would be the next heir to the throne. However Kareef fell in love with a woman from his past, someone who could not produce an heir. Because of his love for her, he abdicated leaving his brother Rafiq Al’Ramiz the next in line to be King.

Coming home to Qusay was hard for Rafiq because of the memories and the woman he left behind, the woman he loved and who betrayed him by marrying another man. The very same woman named Sera who was now his mother’s companion and living in the palace, the woman he hated! Sera had married for wealth, privilege and status and now she was a widow. On top of it all, his mother the Sheikha wanted him to go into the desert to a village where the women of the village made beautiful fabrics to see if he wanted the fabrics exclusively for his emporium back in Australia. The same business he built from nothing which was a huge success because he enjoyed the challenge. Because of adversity it had shaped him into the man he was today. And Rafiq saw this journey as a way of getting revenge from Sera by taking her along with him. Knowing she was uncomfortable just being around him, pleased Rafiq and feeling her squirm in the vehicle, gave him great pleasure!

Sera was terrified. Remembering back eleven years ago when she loved him, all of the pain came flooding back. The Sheikha said maybe this trip was a way to put the past behind them, a chance to heal. However, sitting next to him, remembering their past love was killing her. And then at an oasis stop, emotions welled up when she held a visitors baby and if that wasn’t bad enough, Rafiq asked way too many questions, making her uncomfortable, making her remember their time spent together when they loved each other. And then Rafiq confronted her about how she had not only hurt him but had humiliated him, and he exploded in anger. She remembered how his father the King and her father demanded she marry Hussein, the Qusay ambassador, the same man her father promised her to years earlier. There had already been one scandal in the King’s family and he wasn’t about to have another.

For both Rafiq and Sera the trip was troubling. On top of that the emotion they were both feeling, remembering the past. So many secrets were revealed the entire “horror” of her marriage. Trish Morey wrote those scenes with such pain and passion she’ll have you weeping, I promise! When Rafiq realized he’d been blinded by his past pain and learned what part his father had played in Sera’s marriage he was shocked.

Just when you think they will get their second chance, the fates go against them. Rafiq wanted Sera to return to Australia and live with him but upon returning to the palace he’s told his brother had abdicated and he, Rafiq would now be King. Everything started to unravel in front of both their eyes when this proud man told her he loved her and wanted her to be his Queen. More secrets from Sera’s past marriage were revealed, horrible things her husband insisted she do, his threats and for Rafiq the enormity of these wrongs against Sera were overwhelming. Could he be King and also have the woman he loved as he wife? Or would he realize his future was with the her not the kingdom of Qusay?

As a wise village woman told him:

"Sometimes we look only with our eyes and we see only that which is right in front of us. Some people have perfect vision but will never see. For sometimes we must look beyond the pictures our mind presents as fact. Sometimes we need to see what is in our hearts. Only then do we see what is really true."

Trish Morey with her Forbidden: The Sheikh’s Virgin’s gave both Rafiq and Sera the second chance they deserved. But it also left a question as to who would be king. It left one to wonder if the youngest of the Al’Ramiz brothers’, Tahir would be found in the desert since his helicopter crashed. Would Tahir become king because it was obvious Rafiq was not giving up Sera the love of his life.

Author Trish Morey is certainly a “rock star” with His Mistress For a Million, which I personally read non-stop because is was so very intense. As Cleo’s nanna said, everything has a “silver lining” and a happy ending. This wonderful love story certainly did and then some. It was so good it made the USA Today Best Seller List.

Cleo came from humble beginnings from a dusty little outback town named Kangaroo Crossing where her mother, nanna, step-father and twin brothers still lived. She was a high school drop out and was known by her female classmates as a failure. And now she was working as a cleaner and cook in a seedy London hotel because she had trusted a man she met on the Internet. A man who not only took her virginity but also her money. This man made her feel like a fool for believing in him and now that her money was gone and she didn't have a return ticket to Australia she really felt like a loser. Because of her lack of education she had to take work that would put a roof over her head. Then the worst possible thing happened when she was told by a handsome Greek stranger that he now owned the hotel where she worked and she had to vacate immediately. This meant no job and no place to sleep.

Andreas Xenides was a Greek billionaire out for revenge against his father’s old business partner who embezzled from the business, disappeared and left his family with nothing. Shortly thereafter his father died. Andreas has found the culprit, tells him he now owns the hotel and for him to get out immediately! He makes arrangements for the guests but when confronted by Cleo he’s not sure what to do about her. He then remembers what he was thinking about on the flight from Athens to London; how he wanted to end his one time affair with his Marketing Director. The only way he can think to do that is to bring a woman home with him as his new mistress, so he proposes to Cleo that she become that person for one million US dollars.

Think about it, a tall, dark and handsome Greek billionaire gives you a way out for a month, with a signed contract with a no-sex agreement, and a chance to repay your family with enough money left to start over…….would you take it? After lots of emotional thoughts and talking to him to make sure he understood it will only be play acting. Cleo agrees but is also frightened and she also has trust issues. After a full make-over and purchasing a designer wardrobe, off they go to Greece, with Santorini being the destination.

It’s all so overwhelming for Cleo and the sensual current and tension between them is hot. She’s very jumpy every time he touches her, nervous and a little insecure. However, Andreas sees so much sweetness and sincerity in her unlike the women he’s ever dated and he also realizes that even though he provided her with a makeover and beautiful designer clothes, she was lovely inside and out and sincerely loved Santorini and it’s culture and history. Enough so that when she eventually returned home to Australia she wanted to study and go back to school.

Their time together became very natural, they became easy with each other and acted on their passionate feelings. Andreas found he wanted to spend less time at the office and more time exploring Santorini with her; he sincerely enjoyed her in and out of the bedroom. On top of everything else there was pressure from his mother to marry and give her grandchildren and pressure from Petra his co-worker who was determined to destroy his relationship with Cleo and have him for herself.

Then like the volcano on Santorini, everything erupted, Petra’s deceit, Andreas leaving for London because he couldn't face emotions and Cleo was determined to return home because of it all, knowing that he could never care for her. So many emotions and deceptions.

His Mistress for a Millionaire had all of the components for a perfect emotional romance full of revenge, deceit, passion, misunderstanding and forgiveness. It was a compelling read, one I will personally long remember thanks to author Trish Morey.

To say I loved The Greek Tycoon’s Inherited Bride by Lucy Monroe is an understatement…..it was fantastic.

It had all the makings of a super romance, a Greek alpha, family honor, an arranged marriage plus the girl he knew he couldn’t have, his best friend who was promised to marry his brother. The arranged marriage by two proud Greek friends the Petronides and Leonides, a marriage not taking into consideration the participants feelings.

Spiros Petronides is the sort of Greek every woman would die to have in her life. He’s not only gorgeous; he’s rich and he very sexy. From afar he’s always fancied Phoebe Leonides but due to both of their families being close, he’s thought of her brotherly best friend. However, for Phoebe, it’s quite the opposite, she not only adores Spiros, she’s secretly loved him her entire life.

Phoebe has a serious problem because as a teen she agreed to an arranged marriage her family and the Petronides family made years earlier. On top of everything else, her fathers business is in trouble and will go under unless Phoebe married Dimitri, the oldest son. She’s sincerely upset because she feels her family has literally sold her into a loveless marriage when she secretly loves the younger brother, Spiros. On top of everything else, when Spiros visits her and they share a kiss which leads to passion so volcanic it scares them both, she’s sure she cannot go through with the marriage.

There were so many emotions to this love story, Spiros and his overdeveloped sense of honor where Phoebe was concerned to the point of letting love go and even lying about his feelings. He was so afraid he would be weak like his father as far as relationships went that he would go to any length not to become like his parents. Spiros fought his love and his need for Phoebe but in the end you will tear up at how he goes about proving his love and his desire to marry her.

As for Phoebe, one literally reads and watches her become a strong woman when she stands up to both families, forgives Dimitri for choosing another to marry, forgives the scandal that incurs due to Dimitri’s mistress, forgives Spiros for hurting and lying to her about his feelings. It’s truly an incredible love story as only Lucy Monroe can intensely pen.

Leah made an important decision months earlier when she walked away from her affair with the billionaire and impossibly sexy Alejandro Rodriguez because she loved him and knew it was only a matter of time until he replaced her in his bedroom. She was finally becoming independent and stronger. Now months later she’s faced with the man himself who is determined to have her back and then make her pay by dumping her. He holds all the cards because he’s aware her brother is in financial trouble and so he blackmails her into coming back to him and pays off her brother’s debt to the loan sharks. He’s like a drug to her and she can’t help herself. For that matter, neither of them can help themselves and can’t seem to get enough of each other.

Alejandro Rodriguez was probably one of the most sexy alphas I’ve read lately because of author Trish Morey’s description of the man himself. I swear, he was the devil in disguise and her description of him and his relationship with Leah, well lets just say it will have you thinking and dreaming about this hero. What I loved about his character was that he was so self assured until the rug was pulled out from under him and when he had to take a close look at himself, his feelings, their relationship in the past and as it stood in the present; very emotional indeed. It was an affair that was so incredible and entertaining to read, one I will remember for some time.

As for Leah, the emotion she had to hide, mainly her love for him, her feelings that she wasn’t good enough for him nor wife material plus the fact she had to endure the harshness of his sister, well have some tissue ready, you’ll need them. Leah’s feeling of being temporary and convenient and finally giving up difficult to read as well. However, in the end, Alejandro’s realization that he loved her, probably had always loved her redeemed him for me. Back in the Spaniard’s Bed plain and simply was magnifico!

In April Trish Morey fans were introduced to Forced Wife, Royal Love- Child where readers met Rafe and Sienna, Rafe being the soon to be crowned king of the Island of Monvelatte. One was also introduced to Rafe’s sister Marietta, a vibrant beauty and at the time, I thought she’s got to have a story. Thanks to Trish Morey and her incredible talent The Ruthless Greek’s Virgin Princess is Marietta’s and her brother’s best friend Yannis love story.

Thirteen years later, Yannis returns to Monvelatte to be part of the wedding party of his best friend. However, he also has revenge on his mind even though years ago from afar he admired his friend’s younger sister who was off limits. After arguments with his father over an arranged marriage to financially help to restore his business, Yannis returns to his bedroom only to find Marietta the sweet virgin in his bed. In anger and frustration he sends her away not realizing someone saw her leaving his room and reported the fact to his parents, disgracing his family. Now years later, he returns with one thing on his mind, revenge for his father’s illness and years of hard work to restore the family fortune.

Marietta is hopeful she can get through the days of wedding preparations and seeing Yannis. Rafe realizes at the wedding that he wants Marietta, all of her, her sass, her smile and physically he aches for her. When Rafe asks him to protect his sister now is his chance to make her pay for what happened thirteen years ago. Their romance is a beautiful dance and when their secrets are shared, when Yannis realizes the mistakes that were made and is astonished by Marietta’s talent, well hold your breath, it was incredible read as only Trish Morey can entertain her readers and fans.

Now months later she arrives on his island in her company’s helicopter bringing a prospective bride. Rafe recognizes Sienna immediately and insists she stay literally holding her captive.

Sienna is doomed; she is so attracted to Rafe it’s not funny and on top of everything she carrying his twin babies. He is now making sure she doesn’t leave his island and insists they will marry as she is carrying the heirs he and his country so desire. Can she endure being held captive on this island and marry him when he doesn’t love her?

What I loved about Forced Wife, Royal Love-Child were many things; 1) they both came up the hard way he the illegitimate son of the crown prince and she was raised by a single mother; now she has her dream job as a helicopter pilot. 2) the legend of the Island of Monvelatte and it’s beauty 3) her strength to stand up to him 4) his arrogance and when she was faced with danger how he came to realize there were more important things than avoiding love 5) their shared passion, it was just plain spectacular

Again Trish Morey has written a beautiful and powerful love story and I’m hoping one of her future books will feature Rafe’s friend Sebastino or his sister Marietta.

I can’t ever remember reading a book with such an interesting opening of the first few chapters. Both the beginning and end of the Italian’s Boss’s Mistress of Revenge will have the reader on edge, wondering what’s next; it’s that intense and explosive. Again, Trish Morey has woven an intriguing love story.


It’s obvious that handsome, rich and ruthless Dante Carrazzo is out for revenge and wants to take establishment down to rubble, The Aston House, Upon his arrival he gets the impression that there is a surprise in his room and oh what a surprise and none other than the beautiful manager Mackenzi Keogh and she’s not only beautiful, she’s asleep. Dante decides to act upon his “gift” so he makes an attempt to wake her through seduction and to her horror in the morning, Mackenzi realizes that it’s Dante, the very man who can destroy Aston House.

Aston House holds sentiment and memories for all who have stayed there or celebrated weddings, anniversaries and the like and for Mackenzi, her family, friends and co-workers they don’t want to see it sold or destroyed by Dante Carrazo. The evening before his arrival, Megan is dead tired and ends up sleeping in Dante’s room; only he arrives early and surprises her during her sleep with sensual caresses.

It’s obvious to the reader that immediately there is a physical attraction, that Dante is ruthless and takes revenge to a new level as he proposes that Mackenzi become his mistress and he’ll think about the future of Aston House if she agrees to his proposal.

It’s a rollercoaster ride, one you will not want to miss with all sorts of twists and turns every step of the way. To say anymore would spoil this beautiful and painful love story but in the end, there is one big surprise and when the true reason for revenge is revealed you will be in tears, I promise.

In November of 2007 we were introduced to Morgan and her twin Tegan in the Bosses Christmas Baby. In Trish Morey’s The Sheiks Convenient Virgin, this is Morgan’s story. You will fall in love with Morgan, she is very different from her spirited twin and yet this sweet and even tempered woman no longer is passive, she develops a temper and sass when she meets Sheik Tajik. He demands, his advances, his assault on her senses and her personal space drive her crazy.

The sheikh needs a wife and immediately! When he arrives in Australia and comes to see his mother, he notices her companion, Morgan. The sheikh is advised by his closest aid that his cousin is undermining him while he is away, has suggested to the council that Taj should marry his young daughter. Taj learns of this conspiracy and realizes he must return to his home country, what better solution than to have his mother’s companion accompany them and plans are set in motion. Plans that Morgan his not privy to so one can well imagine when they are revealed she blows her fuse. Marry a man she doesn’t know? Become a sheika in a desert wedding? Be expected to not only consummate the marriage but bear his heirs? Never!

Morgan and Tegan Fielding are twins and Morgan has asked her twin to fill in for her while she attends her friends wedding in Hawaii. However, there’s a catch, since the boss won’t give Morgan time off, Tegan must pose as her twin which shouldn’t be a big deal because the boss is in Italy. Little do both women realize, the deal is on hold because of an illness so when James Maverick shows up at the office the next day, Tegan is blown away and tries to keep up the charade.

Immediately Maverick is drawn to his personal assistant as he watches her put on a pair of nylons….his buttoned up PA for some reason appeals to him out of the blue. There is something different about her, something sensual and he’s going to explore the options. This man is sexy as sin, wealthy and handsome and has a goal………not only to complete his business deal which would put his building development at the top for the next decade. His other priority is to find out why his PA suddenly appeals to him and to explore the possibilities. What does he have to loose or has he gone crazy?

What neither Tegan nor Maverick count on is their mutual attraction for each other and let me tell you their story not only sizzles it will take you on their sensual journey, one you won’t soon forget. Tegan fights her attraction for this man, every step of the way and Maverick is relentless in his pursuit even though he has a rule…..never again to get involved with his PA due to a past relationship where he was deceived.

Tegan counts on her sister being gone for a week but when Morgan is hospitalized from an accident and she realizes she can’t escape from the masquerade, she accepts she will be stuck working for the man. Her defenses against Maverick are shot to pieces, leaving her no choice but to give in to her desire for him. When he suggests an affair, Tegan gives in because she can’t help herself. What she doesn’t count on is falling for this sexy man and in the end, finding out she is carrying his child. What a mess!

Again Trish Morey delivers an incredible story, with strong emotion and wonderful characters. It’s a perfect holiday book and will make the reader really believe there is a Santa after all!

Review:
Trish Morey amazes me each time I read one of her stories and this time is no exception. The Spaniard’s Blackmailed Bride is full of punch, power and passion and will have you reaching for a box of tissues.

Briar Davenport has no choice but to marry Diablo Barrentes to save her parents dignity, status and fortune. For if she does not marry Diablo, they will all be living on the streets, no longer living in Sydney’s elite society and the life they’ve been accustom to having for generations.

At times, this was a difficult book to read as you could not miss the attraction Briar felt for Diablo, how he could with just one look or slight touch ignite and melt her heart. But even more so was the inner fight Diablo felt each time he was near Briar and how he tried to shield himself from the emotion she stirred in him.

Briar’s feelings and honour bound behaviour for family was extremely moving. However, as she gets to truly know Diablo those feelings and conflicting emotions for her new husband and then her feelings for her family……well let’s just say you will feel the power of it all!

A marriage of convenience through blackmail? You’ll just have to read it to find out! Lust, attraction, all rolled into one and two unforgettable personalities….the devil himself, Diablo and the proud and stubborn Briar. Thanks Trish Morey for this story so full of attraction and passion.
