Review:

This is Kate's 50th book and oh what a book! It's a very powerful and passionate love story with another of Kate's "hot" Italian men and this time it's Vito!
THE SICILIAN’S RED-HOT REVENGE exemplifies a Harlequin Presents book at its very best! Vito is drop dead gorgeous, spirited, stubborn at times, and very passionate. And when he's angry, well watch out!As you learned in Sicilian Husband, Blackmailed Bride, Guido has a brother Vito and they are in business together. For years they worked non-stop and promised each other on their 30th birthday they would take a year off and this is Vito's year. As he comes from a shipbuilding family, his passion is carving; so he rents a flat near the shore in England. In this same book, you also learn that at a wedding a woman faints and of course this is one introduction in meeting Emily.
On one very particular day Vito is out walking and sees a beautiful Englishwoman on the beach and is immediately captivated by her and while watching her from afar, he realizes she is in danger of drowning in the ocean and he comes to her rescue. Their attraction is immediate and Vito insists that Emily accompany him back to his flat to get warmed up and out of her wet clothes. After a short kiss on the beach, Emily realizes she is in trouble, but in the end goes home with Vito.Of course, any hot blooded Italian who is so desperately attracted to a woman like Emily...not just her simple beauty but her spirit and the passion he sees in her eyes can't control himself. Once they come together all is lost for them both.
However, the tables are turned when Vito retrieves Emily's personal belongings and answers her cell. There he finds out that she is married and anger doesn't even describe his emotions. Emily flees back home and Vito returns to Italy. One evening while dining with his brother and sister in-law he learns that at the wedding his brother broke up there was a woman who fainted and her name was Emily Lawton. Vito is shocked and reacts quickly, flying to England and to Emily.
Vito and Emily's reuniting was very painful for me to read. It so depicts how miscommunication or lack of it can destroy a relationship. Honesty finally prevails, a lesson we can all learn and their passion, longing and yearning will take your breath away.
Congratulations to Kate Walker on this 50th book. However, I would personally like to say, thank you to Kate for the wonderful hours of reading you have personally provided this reader and please keep those books coming! Perhaps we can find another Corsentino sibling out there so we can see how Vito and Guido are doing?

It’s out of control, and she knows she’ll have to leave – like the seven nurses who tended to Kristian before her! But Kristian won’t let her go, and he’ll use every weapon he still has…including that potent masculinity if he has to!

Review:

To describe this book I would use the adjectives passion, pain, loneliness, despair, wealth, determination and pride. This was truly a story which goes to show one that money can’t buy everything…….it can’t buy love and it certainly can’t buy happiness.
Both of these characters came from extreme wealth and position. Kristian Koumantaros was in a horrible accident and not only in pain due to physical injuries but he had lost use of his legs and eye sight. His disposition was so miserable he went through several nurses and sent them all running. Now the owner of an English nursing firm has come to an isolated location in Greece make sure she gets the job done and helps this angry and desolate man heal.

Elizabeth Hatchet suffered her own pain from a failed marriage, and hiding secrets about her past. She has been hired by a woman she believes to be Kristian’s fiancĂ© and if she does not help him to get on his feet, Elizabeth fears she will loose her nursing business. She also becomes aware of just how handsome, rugged and sexy this Greek billionaire is and vows not to succumb to his charm.
However, the tables are turned on both Kristian and Elizabeth as the attraction between them sizzles, a friendship develops and they share an evening of passion. But it doesn’t just stop there……they run into Elizabeth’s ex-husband and her true identity is exposed!
This is a wonderful story about finding peace, respect, joy and love during an incredible healing process. Bravo Jane Porter for again, entertaining your readers with a strong and powerful love story set in beautiful Greece.

Back-Blurb:

Alice spent six passionate months as Domenico’s mistress – until she made the worst mistake of all: falling in love. She knew he would never love her back, would soon discard her – so she left him.

But now the fiercely attractive Italian is demanding her back in his bed. And this time, when Domenico finds out she’s carrying his child; he may never let her go
Review:

THE ITALIAN’S FORCED BRIDE by Kate Walker is magnificent; a stunning and powerful love story that I immediately had to read from cover to cover. This love story of Dom and Alice had me in tears, angry and sighing all at once.

Alice who has been Domenico’s Parrisi’s lover for months realizes that she loves him but he is incapable of returning that love. She also overhears gossip one evening that points to him having a mistress so she flees and moves back to England. However, life sometimes plays tricks and for Alice that’s the case when she finds out that she is carrying Dom’s child. She feels she needs to tell Dom of her pregnancy so she writes him a letter asking him to come to her so she can tell him the truth.

Upon Dom’s arrival in England, this story takes on emotions so powerful it leaves the reader sitting on edge. Upon hearing the news, Dom demands marriage and takes Alice back with him to Italy. All I can say so as not to give the story away, is that there are scenes which will take your breath away, secrets and tragedy and in the end a love so sweet and tender it will leave you laughing and crying at the same time.
Congratulations to Kate Walker on yet another magical love story.

The Greek's Convenient Mistress by Annie West

Title: The Greek's Convenient Mistress
Author: Annie West
Line: Modern /Sexy/ Presents
Release month: Jan/Feb/TBC 2007

The S-Factor: Sizzling & Simmering
Back-Blurb:

A handsome Greek millionaire, a little girl who needs help...Sophie can't say no...!
Sophie Paterson is shocked when Costas Palamidis turns up on her Sydney doorstep. Costas's wife is dead, and his precious little girl's life is in grave danger - Sophie is the only person who can help...even if it means returning to the long-lost family who turned their backs on her...

Costas wastes no time in moving Sophie into his luxurious Greek villa. She struggles to fight the explosive attraction that fizzes between them while they also battle to save Eleni's life. When their forced proximity leads to a night of unforgettable passion, Sophie has to make a choice: aware that Costas's priority will only ever be his daughter, she can leave the man she has fallen in love with...or stay, knowing she will never be more than the Greek's mistress!"

Review:

This book absolutely consumed me from the very beginning to the end……. that’s how incredible it was…….powerful, so intense it absolutely made me breathless. Riveting, emotional, sad, just a wonderful story, not only about love, but also about healing hearts, healing an extremely ill child and mending family hurts and old wounds. But most important about finding peace, joy and love!

Costa’s made Sophie feel like a tart. He didn’t want nor need her, well he actually did need her, and he needed her bone marrow for a transplant in order to heal his sick child. However, this beautiful young woman was related to his deceased wife and reminded him of her and her inability to be a good wife and mother. Despite all of this, both Costa’s and Sophie were attracted to each other both by body and soul. Whenever he was near, she felt alive and despite herself, she still wanted him. Lust and Sex? Of course and Sophie knew where she stood and in the end could not resist him.

For Costa’s he fought his attraction for Sophie every inch of the way. He was always in control and tried not to weaken. In the end, he acts on his attraction and does he feel he’s taking advantage of her? Absolutely not! He can’t help himself, can’t trust himself and his attraction. He’s afraid to trust, to believe. To say anymore would ruin the story for the reader. But let me just say this, first and foremost, Annie West again pens another wonderful love story set on a lovely isle in Greece. She again delivers and entertains her reader’s with a powerful and intense reading experience. I promise, you won’t be sorry reading the Greek’s Convenient Mistress.
